culture

If politics and business are about how people interact with each other by necessity, culture is about how we interact with each other for enjoyment. Of course, these areas intersect, as a person’s cultural background informs their political beliefs and economic behaviors. Religion can shape governments in an informal or official capacity, and governments come into contact with religion even when they attempt to stay separate. As explored by George Orwell in his book 1984, language can shape one’s worldview and capacity to rebel against the political establishment, and in the real world, government entities like the Académie Française can attempt to shape language for other purposes.

In this section, I’ll be writing about culture, media, and entertainment. This will include things like language, religion, social movements, journalism and the news industry, movies, television, video games, and board games.
